EKE, sb.2 n.Cy. [Not known to our correspondents.] A male salmon. n.Cy. It [a salmon] was a male fish, or what is known in the north of England among fishermen as an ‘eke,’ Pall Mall Gaz. (Aug. 22, 1887).
