BUSH, sb.2 Cor. Two hoops fixed on a short pole,
passing through each other at right angles, used for
signalling the position of a school of pilchards.
Cor.1 Hoops are covered with white calico, and used as signals
by a person standing on a hill to show where pilchards lie in a bay;

against a barrel instead of threshing it with a flail.
